Most YouTube tools aren't built for channels your size

Keyword tools assume you already have an audience. Generic advice assumes you already know what's broken. And when you're under 10,000 subscribers, your analytics are too sparse for any of it to mean much.

TubeCube starts from what your channel actually did this week — which videos held attention, where viewers left, how you stack up against creators at a similar stage — and turns it into a short list of things to do about it.

1

Connect your channel

One click with Google, read-only. Your dashboard fills with real data in seconds — no setup, no configuration.

2

See what's working

Views, watch time, subscriber growth and retention drop-off for every video, plus side-by-side comparisons with creators in your niche. Free, forever.

3

Get your weekly plan

Every Tuesday TubeCube hands your numbers to Claude and gets back a multi-step plan: what to fix, what to make next, what to stop doing.

Retention, video by video

See where viewers start leaving on every upload — and what the videos that hold attention have in common.

Creator comparisons

Benchmark your growth against real channels at a similar stage. Most tools won't show you this. It's the context that makes everything else readable.

Diagnosis, not a dashboard dump

A plain-English read on what's working and what isn't. No jargon, no scores you have to interpret.

A plan that remembers

Each weekly plan builds on the last. TubeCube tracks what you tried and what changed, so the advice compounds instead of repeating.

Examplea gaming channel, 840 subscribers · Mon 7 – Sun 13 September

Since last week

Retention is up: median hold rose from 9.1% to 14.6% after you started cutting the first 20 seconds, and the two videos you re-titled both beat your median views. Subscriber conversion didn't move — still 0.4 per 1,000 views.

Your biggest opportunity is the collab format. The one video you made with another creator pulled 612 views and 1,040 watch-minutes — about 5x your median — and accounted for more than half of last month's new subscribers. The channel is trending up (median views 118 to 194, +64%), but long unedited sessions are still dragging the average down.

  1. 1

Make more collab content in the format that broke out

    high impactmoderate

Your collab video earned 612 views and 1,040 watch-minutes against a median of 118 — and brought in 9 of your 16 new subscribers. Nothing else on the channel comes close.

    • Line up another two-creator video with a clear premise in the title
    • Frame it around a goal or challenge rather than an open-ended session
    • Lead the thumbnail with both creators and the hook
We tried to escape the hardest map in the game
  2. 2

Stop posting multi-part raw sessions with no hook

    high impactmoderate

All three parts of your stream VOD series averaged 11 views and 2.1% retention. Titles that name only the game don't tell a viewer what they'll get.

    • Cut long VODs into single self-contained uploads
    • Rewrite titles to name the concrete moment, not just the game
    • Never publish two uploads with near-identical titles

  3. 3

Lean into the topics that actually hold watch time

    medium impactmoderate

Three uploads far exceed the rest on watch-minutes despite modest views — 28.4%, 22.1% and 19.8% retention against a 14.6% median. These keep the viewers who do arrive.

    • Make more of the two genres that held above 20% retention
    • Pair those topics with the collab and title lessons above
    • Deprioritise the short clip uploads that log under 3 minutes watched
  4. 4

Ask for the subscribe at a high-retention moment

    medium impactquick win

Your best videos hold viewers past 20 minutes but never ask them to subscribe — conversion is 0.4 per 1,000 views against 2.8 for peers your size.

    • Add a spoken prompt at the point your retention graph is still above 40%
    • Add an end screen pointing at your collab video
    • Reply to early comments — repeat viewers convert far better

Questions

Is the free plan actually free, or is it a trial?

Free forever. Analytics, retention, creator comparisons and the what's-working breakdown don't expire and don't require a card. Your first AI growth plan is free too. You only pay if you want a new plan every week.

Why not just paste my analytics into ChatGPT?

You can, and for a one-off it's fine. TubeCube pulls the data automatically, includes competitor benchmarks you can't get on your own, and remembers what you tried last week so each plan builds on the last rather than starting from zero.

How is this different from VidIQ or TubeBuddy?

Those are keyword and optimization tools, and their AI features sit in tiers starting around $19-23 a month. TubeCube is cheaper, has no credit meter to run out of, and is built for channels that are still growing rather than ones that already have audience data to optimize.

Doesn't YouTube Studio already show me this?

Studio shows you numbers. TubeCube tells you what they mean for a channel your size, how you compare to others at the same stage, and what to do next week.

Why is my plan generated on Tuesday?

YouTube takes a couple of days to finalize analytics data. Generating on Tuesday means your plan covers a complete, settled Monday-to-Sunday week.

What access does TubeCube have to my channel?

Read-only access to your YouTube analytics. It cannot post, edit, delete, comment, or change any setting on your channel.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, in one click from your account settings. No cancellation fee and no email required. Your account drops back to the free tier and keeps all your analytics.

Do I need a certain number of subscribers?

No. TubeCube is designed for channels under 10,000 subscribers, and it works from your first upload.
